A Central PA native graduating from West Chester University in December 2019, Sean Reitze began his career in the TV news industry in January 2020 as an Associate Producer at CBS 21 WHP-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, working his way up to Senior Newscast Producer. During his time at CBS 21, Sean has produced and witnessed history from a unique perspective: the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 presidential election, the remnants of Hurricane Ida in Central PA, the 2022 primary election, and breaking news in the Commonwealth and around the world.

In November 2022, he returned as a Newscast Producer to the city and station that made him fall in love with the industry: PHL17 WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Originally declared as a computer science major in the fall of 2016, Sean realized his calling for production during his sophomore year. He felt particularly drawn to WCU’s Media and Culture program and changed his major, as multimedia production provides him countless avenues for creative expression: whether through video, audio, graphic or print. While in college, Sean was part of WCUR 91.7 FM, WCU’s campus radio station. He also worked for The Quad, the student news service of West Chester University. As hinted earlier, during his final semester, he spent time in West Philadelphia before the sun rose as an intern for PHL17 Morning News. This internship revealed and solidified his passion for broadcast production.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys working on his car, tinkering with electronics, hanging out with friends, spoiling his dog Jimi when he visits home, and listening to music. He loves to attend concerts in Philadelphia and beyond, and it appears as though he is always active on Spotify.
